I offer my clients an expertise and knowledge derived from my 50 years of experience, starting with the Soviet Space Program compact 1.6kV, 0.5W regulated power supply with piezotransformer for satellites automatic orientation/docking system, and down on Earth building industrial RF, radioisotope and optical measuring equipment, medical equipment and vacuum tube musical equipment.
In the USA I participated in design and manufacturing of high voltage power supplies 1kV to 140kV DC, power range 1W to 6kW for X-Ray sources at Spellman HV Company, medical equipment at Schick Technology.
I developed High Temperature High Power Transmitters and DC/DC Power Supplies for Downhole Tools at Halliburton Energy Service Company and PetroMar Technology, High Power DC/AC Converters for Naval Propulsion Systems at L-3 Paragon. I also provided support for the Baker Hughes - General Electric downhole and surface equipment research and design.
My most valuable research was carried in the field of DC/AC converters used for the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Transmitters for downhole tool. It is designed to work in extremely harsh environmental conditions: first of all high temperature 175⁰C, high operational frequency – 0.5MHz to 1MHz, output power > 50 kVA combined with duty cycle up to 15% and specifics of operating with the resonant tank as the load, plus phase stable modulation characteristic became a challenge and required a new approach.
I have developed a new Method of Multi-Vector Outphasing for DC to AC Converter, operating with the fundamental frequency provides unique capability for not only high frequency applications but also for high power industrial frequency DC/AC conversion with the low level of high harmonics without the filters.
